Happy 13 weeks my snuggle bug!  I cannot believe it is August already and we have been blessed with your presence since May!

First night camping with the bug resulted in Luke and I not getting quite as much sleep as we had hoped for, an exhausted but happy pup, and lovely fellowship with our church family.

Recently on the menu: bbq pesto chicken, Vibrant Green Beans (our new favorite with fresh dill!) from here, grilled peaches and roasted red peppers, raspberry white chocolate scones, and homemade cookies and cream ice cream.

I am so grateful for a happy baby who now giggles and carries on "cooing conversations" with his mama.

Also looking forward to getting my hands on a copy of this recently published book, written by one of my university art professor's son: Jonathan Auxier.

We still haven't figured out a napping schedule as of yet.  Usually my boy's naps consist of falling asleep while nursing, dozing, and then waking abruptly with any attempt to lay him down. Needless to say, this mama does not get much else done during the day.

And yes, I gave my babe an old man comb-over and took a few photos to document his darlingness.  I couldn't help myself.

  1. Heidi... I'm glad you're coming tomorrow because I don't think I can go much longer without hugging and kissing my favorite nephew! :)
